The Best Cold Email Template… Ever!

I have “cracked the code” on cold email campaigns- Don’t do it.

Cold email is absolutely the best way to pretend that you’re prospecting for new business without actually prospecting for new business.

It’s 1% copy and paste, and 99% wishful thinking.

Why does sending cold emails work so well? Everyone loves to receive unsolicited emails! Especially, if the person you’re emailing never gave you their email address in the first place.

My first order of business when I log into my email account is to immediately bypass my inbox and go directly to my spam folder. Once there, I sift and sort through the various Nigerian scam/boner pill/weight loss/business opportunities communiqués that guarantee to trim inches from my waistline, add inches to my member, and fatten my wallet.

Now hopefully you read this entire article and realized that I am publishing this article ironically. But if you haven’t, and you’ve scanned through the fluff just to get your grubby little mitts on the template in the hopes it will help your cold email campaigns

Email Template

Hi, I’m [Your Name]!

I was checking out your website/ LinkedIn Page/ whichever social media platform I was cruising for leads and was I excited to see that you actually posted your email address!

I specialize in helping businesses in the [whatever space you’re in] space. And I welcome the opportunity to show you what I can do for even though I have no idea if you even have any interest in what I can do because I have made no attempts to qualify you.

Obviously, I am not brave enough to pick up the phone and read you my telephone script. After all, you might tell me to take a hike , or even worse.

So, I’ve copied and pasted my telephone script into this email in the hopes that you will read it and sell yourself on how I can help you and your business grow. I am then hoping you will either reply to this email or you will pick up the phone and call me for more information/with a blank check/ with your credit card in your hand.

Sincerely,

Joe/Jane Average Sales Professional

Sales professionals cold email for one reason- They are too afraid to pick up the phone and make a cold call.

More on that later.
