The Comedian is a YouTube Docuseries that follows Michael Hoffmann, as he returns to the stage after a 16-year absence. Armed with decades of life experience, but burdened by self-doubt, changing audiences, and the fear that his best years may already be behind him, he embarks on an uncertain journey back into stand-up comedy.
Blending never-before-seen archival footage, newly filmed scenes, and original animated sequences, The Comedian tells the story of one man’s attempt to reclaim a dream he thought he’d left behind. As past and present collide, the series explores aging, resilience, regret, and the courage it takes to begin again.
